Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Boil 1 liter milk in a pan. Curdle the milk by adding lemon juice or vinegar. Strain the paneer and rinse it with cold water to remove sourness. Knead the paneer for 5-7 minutes until smooth, then shape into small flattened balls.
Boil 1 cup sugar with 4 cups water in a wide pan. Add the paneer balls to the boiling syrup, cover, and cook for 15 minutes. Let them cool in the syrup.
Boil 1 liter milk until it reduces by half. Add sugar, saffron, cardamom powder, and nuts. Cook for 5-10 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature.
Squeeze excess syrup from paneer balls. Soak the balls in flavored milk. Let them chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours. Garnish with extra nuts, saffron, and rose water (optional). Serve chilled.
