Naan

Dissolve the sugar in warm water. Add the yeast and let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, yogurt, salt, and oil. Add the yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into an oval or round shape.

Cook the Naan: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease it. Place the rolled dough on the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear.

Finish with Butter: Brush the hot naan with melted butter or ghee.
